FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Who qualifies for special print production bulk pricing?
Special print production pricing is made available only to mens ministry leaders within local churches who desire to launch an effective sportsmens ministry by identifying and developing a leadership team. The quarterly magazine is used as a gift subscription for encouraging and empowering men to participate in mens ministry activities or project.
2. If I am already receiving the magazine subscription along with other sportsmen in my church through one of the Affiliate Organizations such as Christian Sportsmens Fellowship or Fishers of Men Tournament Trail, how could distributing the Introductory Gift Subscriptions benefit our outreach efforts?
Introductory Gift Subscriptions provide a very economical means for introducing others within your church fellowship to ministry opportunities through special feature articles and Team Adventures projects found in the publication. Men will begin to fellowship with each other around similar lifestyle pursuits. The vital relationships that will inevitably be formed are the foundation for any effective mens ministry.
3. If members of my local church know that the magazine can be received on a complementary basis then what would be their motivation for joining a membership organization like CSF, International?
The magazine is designed as a communication tool in casting vision for reaching sportsmen, grabbing the readers attention, then showing outdoorsmen how to engage their passions to serve other sportsmen. As Christian sportsmen mature in the faith a desire is created to serve others through outreach events hosted by such membership organizations. The magazine is also used as an evangelistic tool.
4. Is it necessary to join a membership organization like CSF, International to be effective in a mens ministry geared toward sportsmen or could our church just glean ideas from the magazine and launch a ministry on our own?
It is not necessary to belong to an Affiliate Organization to begin an outreach effort from your local church. Membership organizations that offer affiliation on the national or international levels should only be utilized to complement the talents, interests and affinities of leaders within a local church. Many outdoors groups within local churches choose to only incorporate one major outreach event into the church calendar each year. For such churches an Affiliate Organization alliance may not prove beneficial.
5. What if several church members join CSF, International and begin receiving their magazine subscription as part of their membership with plans to eventually organize a chapter in the future? Would the Introductory Gift Subscriptions discourage sportsmen from joining the chapter?
No. The Introductory Gift Subscriptions should not deter ministry minded leaders from identifying closely with an Affiliate Organization, especially if their heart has been prepared and remains focused on supporting that particular organizations mission. In such case the bulk quantities of The Christian Sportsman magazine should then be used as a chapter recruitment tool to attract new chapter members. Sportsmen who receive the Introductory Gift Subscriptions can participate in chapter activities and
will be even more actively involve when they are given the opportunity to join CSF, International or another such Affiliate Organization.
